Maintenance done tonight went to my folks house and actually got to change my own oil in over a yr. Living in an apt. has it's pluses and minuses. Also changed the rear diff and t-case oil! BTW found that this Wix filter works on the Tacoma and it's F*****' YUUUUUGGGGGEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a WIX fan and always will be I think they make some of the best filters on the market and have cut open enough to see the differences also even compared to the OE IMO they are built better. OE doesn't always mean the best keep that in mind.

I've been lacking in updating this thread with wheeling trips. I really need to get on that and upload all that I've done recently I think I'm 5 or 6 trips behind or so.

Night shots just for you @SearArtist . I need to work on a better angle/bracket for the lights just in front of the rear tires the body is angled in toward the middle of the truck there and they just sit flush up against the floor at that angle. Otherwise pretty happy with the out come.

Man. I need to copy that relocation with 14” kings & Chevy 63” swap. Also I wish I got +9 rear brake lines instead of whatever wheelers sells. I forget what length but I got the longest ones. The rock lights look great! Are you doing a rear bumper anytime soon?

Changed up the rear cab rock light brackets we'll see what they look like tonight! Also ordered another 4 pack going to add 1 more on either side in the middle of the cab on in the center of the rear and hopefully find a home for one in the middle on the front.

The 63s are much more comfortable and compliant offroad than anything aftermarket for the Tacoma. If you copy my 63s you'll need 16" shocks. Only reason I can consider 16" shocks is I've got a 1" BL and was able to move the relocation up a good bit.

Can't sleep and it finally stopped raining so I could get some pics of the new rear cab rock light spill and the brackets I like this much better! Guessed on a whim and it turned out really well I think!
Here you can see the bracket. I bent it to accomodate for the angle of the rocker area then just a tad more to angle the light to face outwards just a tad.

That long stick shadow is either the e-brake cable or the 2x2 square tubing for the slider

Getting some ideas. Try and keep the bed usable yet at the same time add some rigidity and tie into my shock towers. I like a little bit of each of these set ups.

Dad isn't ready to give up the 1st gen yet and I need those VIN #s buggy's name will be barely legal.

The purpose of this truck is one that will be extremely capable offroad. Push the limits of what an IFS Tacoma can be/do and be a recovery/support vehicle of sorts while still being manageable enough to DD and take on long trips and adventures. There will be give and takes in all aspects. BTW my bed cage will not have shocks coming through the bed. It will be completely removable and won't take up a lot of space to hinder loading the truck up.

Hmmmm. Been researching the hell out of axles and what not for a while now. I have fears of the rear kerploading once I regear it and lock it. Really digging these and I think the 9" would be perfect plus the gear ratio selection for the venerable ford 9" is almost infinite.

While you’re at it, pick me up a front and rear axle. Maybe if you buy three you’ll get a good discount.
