Of course man, you should try to get a good pic to see the devil horns

Glad that the cables were still good, I'll tinker with the old one and see if I can get it going but if not I'll have some spare parts.

I really need to get my tie rods done now...

Thanks brother, I know many hate derp but I'm a huge fan of how many things you can do with it. It's held up great for me on all my areas ( fender flares, two tone paint scheme, hood scoop, gas filler door, and my hood ) plus you can use it as a primer and top coat with what ever you want. Don't like it? Peel it off.

Nice! I need to do my tie rods soon. Did you have to make a wrench for the inner ? What brand did you get? I have some moogs but a lot of people say they are not nearly as good as factory.

I just got the upper level brand from Orielly's. I have used moog and other top level brands for decades as a mechanic IMO they work just as well. Now have I really tested them against the OE no. But a lot of people say the factory toyota oil filter is the best you can get well I've seen them cut apart and compared against others and they are not as good as a lot of aftermarket oil filters, just take that as you will.

As far as the inner tie-rod wrench or tool, I own one but I did not use it. If you turn the wheel all the way to the side you are doing then you can use a pair of channel locks on the flats at the base to loosen and tighten them they aren't put on that tight. There is a little flat washer in between the tie rod and rack. Before you loosen it you'll have to bend the ears off the flats of the base of the tie rod. Then the new one should come with a new washer. There are 2 ears on the inner dia. those ears go in towards the rack as there are 2 relief cuts in the rack for them. After you tighten your inner up you knock the washer down around the flats of the base of the tie rod. Also count the # of turns it takes to get the outer off the inner this will get you really close alignment wise but you'll still need one after. Hope that helps

I used moog parts on my grand am. No issues. And the lifetime warranty helped when chevy cross threaded all my lug nuts on my moog wheel bearings when I was out of state and had a tie rod end fail.

Oh hell it's coming together! :woot::woot: 42.5 hrs OT last weekend and got the call this evening I'll have to stay tomorrow night. This is what I was talking about how this time of year is unpredictable for me. The timing should work out ok though as by the time you get everything we hopefully will be past the threat of snow

Yeah I am still a week or 2 out on the shocks and a few weeks on the relocation. Oh and the extended brake lines are sitting at my apt leasing office waiting to be picked up

Well I got the winch all done (I just need to learn how to use it correctly), Bumper is ordered and paid for, and I'll get your suspension. I normally give Christie all my Ot to go towards bills but I may just squeeze a little out to get me a dorkel

But it makes such a great beer holder. :D I would have got the dobinsons if they were out when I was prepping for 35s.

So finally picked up my extended brake lines I got from Crown performance today. They sent a nice calendar and a couple of posters but it's a JL
Anywho I ordered these via their website a few things to note. I had gotten extended brake lines from Headstrong when I did my original lift. Thought they were just a few inches over stock length so I ordered the kit from crown at +6". Go out to the truck to look at the ones I have and yep exact same length :frusty:

I go in and call them as I just need the rear lines anyways and don't need the fronts, plus they only list a +7 as the longest they have online. To be on the safe side I want something longer than that just to be on the safe side. Well one quick phone call got +9" on order and just the rears. Moral of the story call Crown they'll make you pretty much whatever you want. I had a really productive conversation with the guy I talked to very professional and new ones are being sent right out.

Awesome thread! I'm setting up my 2010 very similar. Just picked up a cap for it, plenty more parts to go, though!
