I was thinking you may not see the issues of turd gen like some do because you actually drive the shit out of your truck and everything gets some good use and not just a quick 2 mile trip to and from work or sitting in stop and go traffic for hrs a day. Just a hypothesis. Since your truck gets a pretty wide range of driving situations.

You know me - ain’t scared to give’er a little hell now and again. Beat the devil out of it.

Mine was clearly built on a Wednesday. I think all the Monday/Friday trucks are the ones who are having all the issues, just my own little hypothesis.

I am kidding... but...... I have done this!! :bananadead:  it was a 2000 corolla I picked up for 500 bucks. the rockers and fender corners were no longer there. it worked great. painted it with bedliner and you couldn't even tell I did body work. looked great and served its purpose, which was to get it to pass the safety  just needed some wheels to get me by until I bought a taco. new breaks were like 40 in all 4 corners, new windshield was 120 bucks, winter tires on rims for 200. drove it for 6 months then sold it for 1k. got all my money back :D
