Good looking truck man. I started from the beginning and kept wanting to tell you to buff those headlights! Glad you got new ones. I've thought about leaving notes on ppls cars with foggy headlights offering to buff them for $100 ;)

The sad thing is it's more than just buffing them out to do it right you need to wet sand from like avg 500 grit and work your way up to 2000 then compound, polish then a UV protectant. When i did them at the shops I worked at it started at 150 and went up from there depending on how bad they are. Don't short change yourself they can be some nasty buggars.

I can't stand foggy headlights not only do they look like junk but you cant' see at night!

Subd. Nice job it is looking great. I too have an '05 LBDC and I'm loving it. I'm going to order a nice black aluminum canopy from a local company on Black Friday, can't wait, it's raining cats and dogs this fall, even for Seattle.:) I have the desert sand mica so similar theme with the black canopy. I'm waffling on wheels. Not sure if Im going black or silver or a mix like the newer ones..
Thanks for sharing the build and lots of good ideas..

So I did a couple of things lately first these arrived yesterday, and I have some UHMWPE round stick stock coming. Going to replace the body mounts and make my own 1" body lift

Second I did the @G.T. Ram mount on my A-pillar handle, probably one of my favorites so far!

In the OP you post you have the 6112's with the Toytec upper mount. What is the Toytec upper mount?

@Casper66 look at the aluminum top hat at the top of the strut. You have to buy this combo from toytec it makes the 6112 have a true 3" lift according to toytec but I think I am slightly higher than 3in

Sometimes you can get away with that it all depends on how bad they are. i have done some really aweful ones that I had to start @ 300 grit and work up. I like going to 2000 grit just to get every scratch mark out then I rubbign compound and polish after that I protect it with a wax.

I've been considering switching to the 6112's when these get a little more worn. I need some more important things first like a winch. I've been doing a bit of asking and reading and according to Crom and his bunch who do what I'm wanting to do the 6112's are the ticket.

    Thanks man more to come.

I follow his build and G.T.'s and a few others that are more into the adventuring and less into the hardcore wheeling. I love the 6112 although I may upgrade to the Icon 2.5" extended shocks without the remote resi. Although I am super biased to Bilsteins I have run them on so many of my previous cars including some custom stuff from them and they have always impressed me.

I hve the Icon 2.0 RR rears and they're pretty good. I had Bilstein 5125's (still have them) honestly can't tell much if any difference. Fronts may be different than the rear though
