I presumed that was the case. I'm totally comfortable at this lift. May need a slightly heavier spring once I get the bumper and winch on. I like your flares though.

I'm aware. I have one ready to install when my bumper gets in if you read through my build thread :)

You think I will have to get a heavier leave spring for the new bumper?

Why would you need leaf springs for a front bumper? With the Kings up front, you're probably fine. I'll lose 1/4-3/8" with the stock Fox coilover up front.

I can't believe you got a Pro and immediately swapped suspension :rofl:

It's either a 600 or 650# spring. I think the 600# comes standard on the King 2.5s. Someone fact check me on that.

They are king 3.0 springs that are rated at 600lbs, you think I will have to replace them?

I wouldn't sweat it. Maybe keep some cash in reserve for an 24 valve swap

King 3.0 come with a 550lb spring. I’m upgrading mine to SPR375-15-700 to support the weight of C4 hybrid steel and winch also my steels skids

Yes, I will be upgrading my springs to 650lbs, was told from the manufacture that 700ilb springs would be to much for my build.

Special shoutout to @tacoking480 for the hookup. I haven't gotten a chance to hook it up yet, but thank you for being such a pleasure to work with! I have a bedside mount from Expedition Essentials coming tomorrow, so this will be my next project:

So today began the litany of work that I was really dreading. I got almost everything done for the compressor less the final run of wiring to the battery. I have to find a good way to get the harness up and over the front cab mount on the driver's side. I'm trying to follow the body harness up the frame into the engine bay, but the donnectors are too damned big. I may pill them off, then re-pin in the engine bay, but I'd rather not go that route unless I absolutely have to.

First thing's first. I bolted the mount together and sealed all the places where water could pool. I used RTV and only left the very aft corner open in case water enters the compressor box. Only stainless hardware was used and the hose I purchased was verified to fit before install.

    20200208_110456.jpg

I started out by measuring the distance of the threaded inserts on the passenger's side storage bin/outlet from fixed points on the bed insert. I then transferred those to the driver's side so that in the future, I can add the fascia from a used bin to the compressor and mount an access door (you'll see the targets scribed into the bedside below). I centered the drill template and squared all my fixed points. Pilot holes were drilled with a 1/16" bit then finished with a 1/4" bit.

    20200208_114952.jpg

After this, I temp installed the screws and vertical brackets. I scribed lines on the insides of the left and right brackets, then removed them. I temp installed the upper and lower screws on both sides, then threw a piece of stock on them and scribed a line across the top and bottom. X measurement was taken and corners squared.

    20200208_121021.jpg

After this was done, I drilled the corners shy of the line then took a carbide cutting blade attached to the multi-tool and very carefully pre-cut the inside of my marked lines. Lots of composite dust (i.e. DON'T DO THIS PART WITHOUT PROPER RESPIRATOR AND EYE PROTECTION)

    20200208_123200.jpg

    Look, ma! I durrrrd it!

    20200208_124501.jpg

I didn't spend a lot of time sanding and cleaning up the edges, but got them semi-presentable. The next part was a major league PITA. I was doing this alone, so I had to jack the entire assembly up into the fender and suspend it from the inside. I will say that some good punches or dowel pins will prove invaluable if you're undertaking this as a lone wolf. Notice my wavy top cut. That's apparently what happens when you try to rush. Did I mention don't rush?

    20200208_130823.jpg

After a short run to the hardware store, I got everything I needed to plumb a 360˚ swivel and got everything aligned perfectly for freedom of motion. This will allow the hose to swivel rather than bending at a fixed point. It tucks away PERFECTLY and there are no clearance issues. I presume once I get a fascia, I may have to clean up the inside of the door, but I'm not worried about that.

    20200208_163123.jpg

I have the expedition essentials harness extension routed inside of the bed mount, then following the parking brake until the rear cab mount where it begins to follow the body harness. I'll be figuring out how to get the harness over the cab mount and into the engine bay another day. Pictures will obviously be provided for your viewing pleasure.

I got all the wiring routed and installed last night. This compressor is a bear! I'll be posting pictures of the install tomorrow, but in the meantime, I'm just smitten.
