Have any of yall been to the kiamichi trail in Oklahoma and Arkansas? Me and my buddies are looking to go there over spring break. None of us have been there and dont know much about it. Looking for some wisdom!

Theres some users that are also from Texas who have done it before. Bakerla and SMKYTXN are their handles on here, might tag them and see if they can shed some light on it.

    It's a fun trail that's for sure.

Here's the recap from last years run. There weren't many technical spots, but you will come away with pinstripes. The trail is narrow in places.

What else would you like to know?

I followed a K trail a few times. It ended with me in a hole for hours, that was fun.

The trail, start to finish, is about 80 miles. We took two days to run it last year. Plans to camp at the fire tower were squashed due to high winds and rain. That's what prompted our trip down the sketchy county road.

We opted out of running it this new year due to time constraints, but I'm hoping we go again this year. What say you @bakerla @greeneggsnspam ?

I'd almost be down to make the trip haha. I am buying a new 4Runner this year and want to explore more of the country in it.

Just pick up the Trans American Trail somewhere west of here on your way over. Then when you get close enough drop down and join us on the run.

Now that I look at it, that TAT map is wrong. The TAT crosses Arkansas at it's midpoint, so even closer to K-Trail.

Doing the TAT would be so fun. I don't think I'd ever have the time...

Just have to make time for something like that. I've run the portion through Arkansas once. I'd like to make the whole trip one of these years.

Not sure about this year. My summer trip will eat up most of my time off. And I may try to hit up BBSP in the winter.

We didn't run the whole state, just an 40 mile stretch. :D

It was a day trip while I was visiting family in Fayetteville.
