Agreed on all that. It's cyclical. The bottom will eventually fall. I wish I had cash stacked when 2008 happened. I was a bit too young though and I didn't get into investing until like 2 years ago.

exactly. i bought my previous house in mid 2012 right before the market started to recover. i just sold it this year for $75k more than i paid for it. and because i bought it so cheap, i had rented it out for a bit at double my mortgage payment. it was a great investment

but on the reals there's an app that chinese students use to find housing in the US. my friend rents his houses to chinese students

 

How would the Chinese have a credit history built up if they came from China? Just wondering.

I either read or watched a video talking about Asian folks coming here, specifically students for the education, with wads of cash. That's the only part I remember. It was said that this is why they are always driving higher end cars.

My girl and I have a bunch of Indian friends. She dated a guy straight from India also. She always said that Indian folk are very flashy. They will spend the money on flashy jewelry and cars. Not being racist or whatever -ist you wanna apply, just truth. Asians are more frugal I guess is the word, they want things that last and are better with money. Indians, more flashy.

 

a lot of the international kids in boston from asian countries are WEALTHY. like next level. tobacco money etc. kids i went to grad school with would go to chicago, vegas, la, etc for the weekend just for fun
