I just going standard high clearance sides, and if I take some bedside damage I’m cool with it. It’ll be a bit before I do blacks anyways because I have wide open diffs, and lockers aren’t coming anytime soon. I’m happy with blues to build experience since I’m still relatively new.

A year and a half ago, but I started in FL where there wasn’t any real serious wheeling like there is here. I’ve only been wheeling up here for about 6 months, and have maybe 15 trips under my belt here with 6-7 being more difficult places i.e. actually needing armor.

Edit: though I did grow up riding dirt bikes in the deserts of CA, so I’m not a complete stranger to playing off road.

Cool. Those little bars have saved me bedside damage multiple times. I know it’s a matter if time though. If you Wheel hard it’s going to happen eventually no matter what.

It may be the old guy in me, but “meh” as a response is just do damned dismissive. So, forget my previous response, if you can.

I’m sure they have, which is why it’s nice that they can be added at a later date if I decide.

Edit: that came across pretty short, and I didn’t mean it to be. I need to get to bed. I do appreciate your input that the side protection doesn’t get snagged.

Sorry fellas. All I did was swap my HU and install a backup cam. No speaker work done here.

But I have heard Focal makes a rocking set up for our trucks, but am unsure if it is a direct bolt in upgrade . I ran infinity kappa series in my car and they put out some clean sound!!!

I finally decided on the route to go with my CVs! I’m gonna order the Toyota boot rebuild kit (dependent upon price from Gunny) and just rebuild each axle, and do the ECGS bushing while I’m in there.

I think that's probably the smartest way to go personally. You'll know it'll be right. Speaking of that my cv's look good. I think my slight vibration is from wheel balancers being thrown again.

That’s all good, thanks though. For th kits to do two axles, it should be less than $100 which is nice. Comes with all the boots, clamps and grease.

No, not really. I read this thread and it kinda turned me off. Plus you have to source your own grease, and there’s confusion on whether or not to use a small clamp on the inboard part of the boot. The Toyota kit will be nice and easy.
