I bought the Archive shackle flip last,
year and then sold it, without installing it. I couldn’t find enough benefit from them that I originally thought.

The HH sounds like it will work for my needs.

This that and the other thing.
@Redmann from my understanding, one of the pros of the HH vs the shackle flip, is that you wont bring ur leafs to the end of their life prematurely due to forcing them into a negative arch. correct me if I am wrong @EatSleepTacos since I'm just putting together bits and pieces, but with a shackle flip, if u load ur bed with a lot of stuff, like renovation materials, the way its designed u will be putting the leafs into a negative arch? but with the HH in the normal state, the leafs sit in a more natural arch closer to OEM vs the flip which almost puts the leafs in a slight negative arch which is thus worsened with weight?

Funny story, my grandpa moved down to Mexico for a few years in the 1950s iirc and legally changed his name to Carlos

    I saw. I can't believe he wants 500 to install a relocate.

I might be. In the research phase.

What are you currently running? OEM shackles? A flip? What does your leaf situation look like?

I just don't get it still. Besides being beefier, whats the benefit? The HH is lower than a oem shackle hanger. Looks to me like it'll still make the spring go into negative arch.

I need answers.... I can't get them yet from anyone.

    Not I

Ok so I am horrible at explaining suspension geometry via text I am much better with technical drawings. If you have never built or worked on suspensions in modifying it's hard to explain to get a better understanding without seeing it some how imo

Exactly. It’s like a shackle flip in terms of increased droop, but doesn’t put the leafs in a negative arch.
I’m running Dakar’s with an AAL. They’ll droop about as much as the extended 5100s extend so they’d be a good pair.
I can, since I’d want it done right with the measuring, welding, tuning of bump stops, etc. Even not including install, I’m looking at close to a grand in parts alone, and I’ve got to pay someone to install it.
They droop more than the stock hanger.:annoyed:

What's the upside is what I'm asking..

Why? Where is any testing? Any videos made of what he says? I'm not being a dick, I legit want to know because I'm definitely considering the HH.

So it's good for weight? Pig trucks benefit. What about me where i only have rehab materials a handful of times. I want some thing to help me when wheeling.. I have basically zero weight in/on the bed most of the time.

A white guy who likes Asian food? I forgot what @Subway4X4 said by the time I quoted all these messages lol

I haven't worked on them, but I'm fairly intelligent. I've been discussing it with another member pretty extensively.

alright good to know I am on the right track hahaha so with the HH he moved it further back? which in turn gives the leafs more room so they can droop down earlier then the oem position. now, he said that the HH with stock shackle = better ride and 1/2'' lift, but would u gain droop as long as u had longer shocks?

You keep asking the same thing. The benefit is increased droop and not putting leafs at a negative arch, while only having the hanger 1” lower. This is achieved through being farther back, lower, and the shackle can droop lower than normal. All this combined somehow magically achieved droop. I don’t know the science behind that though if that’s what you’re asking.
