It was good! The original bbq place was closed, so we went somewhere else for lunch (was accidentally a hippy place but was pretty good). Everything went pretty smoothly.

I like #2 but not with those crazy flares if they did like a flat fender style then that would be cool.

Because someone gave it to me to try! I prefer the dark beers next to a camp fire, but sitting on the couch watching a movie I like lighter beers.

If you’re only concerned about a recovery by pulling, then a come-along is better/safer/less complicated tool.

But to cover most situations, you’ll need to be able to LIFT UP and to PULL.

If you only have one option, then the Hi-Lift is your tool of choice. Or both.

Whatever you choose, make sure your practice, practice, practice before you head out on the trail. Every recovery tool or strap or hardware is inherently dangerous. Every. Single. One.

I’ve seen many dudes go wheeling with their nice shiny new recovery tools and look at them strangely when they need them. It’s the classic deer-in-the-headlights look.

It would mostly be as a backup plan, since I don't wheel more than forestey roads and old wahsed out trails, but in those trails you never know when you can slip on the ditch or have those 4 tires spinning in a mud hole, or dug in the sand by the lake, and all you need is that little 2-3' of play you can get to stuff a log or sand or any traction stuff under your tires to get out.

With what you said, a come along and the knowledge on how to use it would suits my need, by the time I can or need to get a winch.

You can have mine. It’s about the same age as @fatfurious2. It still looks new.

I used it once 18 years ago, to pull myself out of a 4 foot stuck in snow in the Cascade mountains. It took all day and I was solo. It sucked big time. I missed Valentines dinner with my wife. She was preggy and pissed.

The following week I got a winch.

I’ll be in Scarborough ON in March and can bring it then. LMK.

    I’m also bringing @Bocsy44 ’s Kinetic Rope

The way you say it I feel like it is a poisoned gift:laughing:
But if you want to get rid of it, i'll take it, and will report the day it misses on me:laugh: or the day it saves my day!

In comparison with you, I am a sissy and won't go in 4ft of snow lol I don't go anywhere where I don't know what is under the snow lol

Nothing wrong with using a come-along, except that it’s A LOT OF WORK to gain a few inches at a time.

Which results in a long day and a pissed off wife.
