Ordered from the stealership. Bascically hoping to swap the skin onto the bracket. See that little tab looking thing in the corner of the cover? I was talking to @DollarTacos and he had the same issue and he described how he managed to do the skin swap. Pull back the tabs slide it off etc

Now THAT would be a nice fix. I'm curious to hear how it works out for you.

Could go multiple ways. I accomplish pulling the cover and the tabs inherently weaken and shit the bed. Or I succeed on the first cover (original) and fuck up the second cover doing the same task. I have a feeling this might wined up me buying a second cover and getting it color matched. Hopefully I get lucky for once

Eh, before you did that I'd just get some color matched spray paint and do it yourself. Wouldn't be perfect, but I doubt no one would notice. Or professionally painted. I had a piece about that size color matched for my subaru. Cost me $80 at maaco and came out perfect.

Ha, it's the little things that get you. That $100 could be better spent somewhere else for sure.

No no no, ignore that part about truck make and model. From my brief skimming of the article, it was just showing an 8" e locker going into a 8.4" housing. That's the sizes of our axles, so the procedure should be the same.

Edit: maybe you're right. I skimmed so I'm really not sure

edit 2: Holy shit, that article is from the year 2000

This that and the other thing.
yeah there is an Ontario one that's the same deal, pay for a membership to gain trails haha most the guys in the Ontario thread on here have paid so they have the maps, and they are the ones I usually wheel with anyways. there is basically no action up near here, no trail reviews or anything, most the members seem to be in southern Ontario. even trail wise, trails listed are limited up here. there are a couple but still looking at like at least 2 hours and they seem really short and not really worth the drive IMO

Not a bad idea to subscribe once, get the trail maps, and dont renew the membership next year, and then organize my own trips without them... but still, its only 55$... less expensive than my atv trail pass and I only need to fuel one engine! Haha

Would you run used leaf packs? At what milege would you stop considering used ones? Do you know anyone selling used dakars?

for the right price duck yeah I would hahaha honestly I don't think age would matter to me if good price. It would be nice to know the person tho so I knew if they always had the bed overloaded and riding bumps but again, for the right price, its at least a good starting point

I’m running David’s old pack. I’d say it would depend on the useage they saw, plus the miles on them.

So miles matter to you but only if they were hard miles?

I've gotten great deals on a lot of low milege suspension parts for my truck. Some were used, some new. The brake lines and leaf packs are the only things I've paid retail for. I want to keep that trend.

Yeah, sorta. The two go hand in hand. If it’s got 70,000 highway miles, no thanks. If it’s got 20,000 miles of loaded down and hard wheeling, no thanks.

Like I wouldn’t buy used leafs from me if I were to sell mine, if that makes sense.
