I wish they made a MGM colored plasti dip. That turned out great man! You're putting in some serious work getting this thing how you want it!

Aha I appreciate it, but no. Do you just peruse CL in hopes of scoring sweet deals??

I know! MGM is a tough color to match. You can get close, but not close enough. Black with some glossifier would look good though.

Thank you! This truck is just so damn stock that I've got to do at least SOMETHING to it to spice it up until the finance manager approves more spendy items.

Yeah I think black is how I'm going to go with it. Did the grill surround black instead of color match and I think it looks good enough for now. Don't have the patience to color match it myself.

Same here, especially when this derp is close enough. Besides, I've seen a lot of failed paint jobs on the chrome bumper and grille. Just can't get the best adhesion!

Also did you peel the derp off your badges a certain way? I derped all mine and I got all the way to the "toyota tacoma" on the back and the derp comes off the letters every time. I've done that specific badge a few times and can't get it to not peel off the letters.

Nope! Just taped off a rectangle, and laid it on thick. Probably did 5-6 coats or so. On the parts that did come off, I used a paint brush and some derp to touch it up.

Now that I know acetone will remove the stubborn stuff and be safe on paint, I'm probably going to debadge. A debadged super white just looks so damn clean.

It's the best way to go. The only thing holding me back was all the funk that was going to be impossible to get off.

Same reason I skipped on paint when I replaced my grill & wrapped the bumper.

Do ittt. It'll look clean on an MGM too. Being a 2014 you should have no issues with stubborn adhesive.
