Under 12k. Other owners on T4R.org claim its the rubber exhaust holders. I do know that its not gonna hurt the truck, because its been an issue since the 2010 5th gens. I just dont like smelling it with my windows down

o_O Don't think I would believe the rubber exhaust hanger thing or every vehicle ever mad would smell like that and never stop. It could just be all the paint etc burning off but that is lot of time and miles for it to still be doing it. Very strange. What kind of smell is it like exhaust, rubber, plastic, chemical, etc

but it seems like every thread I click on turns out to be a shit show hahaha but to be honest, I don't check to see if they shit is being thrown my a G2 or a G3 hahaha and maybe its because I only click them while they appear on the home page which means the thread is being posted in

It smells like burning rubber. And I know its in the back half of the truck because its strongest back there. And it only happens with heavy acceleration. From what I've read on other posts is they either move them or the burning smell goes away over time which is what the dealership told me would happen. I haven't tried moving them yet, mostly because I never think about it when I'm working on the truck.

Honestly a lot of threads do get rough pretty quickly. And it gets pretty funny to watch too.

It's hilarious to watch! are the 5th gen T4R threads like that to since they share the driveline? They are like the new guy threads asking about lifts older guys just want to spout off and show their superiority and act like they are god. Those are funny to watch but very unhelpful in continuing the hobby of modifying and being car enthusiasts.

Nah. The T4R thread is actually pretty helpful for questions, but it stays pretty dead over there. Its mostly just people asking about quality of life mods like lighting and stuff like that. Occasionally you get the "Which tires will fit with.." and a couple people kinda get dickish, but overall not nearly as bad as the 2nd gen vs 3rd gen here.

Plus they have each generation kind of sectioned off. Their front page is set up to where you just go straight into whatever gen you want. But it sucks for mobile users.
