Not wanting to sell the RTT, just relocate it. I do like the ability to camp in a pinch. Would free up a lot more space in the bed because I could add drawers. It locks.

Oh that’s exactly why I asked in here. Want the best opinions on why I want it.

Lloyd had a soft top and rack for a while I believe and switched to the hard shell. He would be a good one to ask as well. But looking at it from my perspective which is only having a shell those are the pros over what you are considering.

Every seat but the driver seat and you might be close but probably still short.

Yeah I’ve eliminated soft topper. Would be too much of a hassle.

I’m in on the shell. Just wanted to hear some specifics on why y’all like them other than the obvious dry storage.

I'll take the engine out, put in a little 1.8l from the corolla, and use some of the engine bay.

    How do I look now??
That's either gotta be really fun or really sketchy

Both at one point I ended up against where the rear seats should of been. Now for perspective this car ran 9s in the 1/4 so it pulled hard. We had it set up good!

This wasn't anything special just a basic Chevelle Malibu. We tubbed it, 4-link the rear, qa-1 coilovers, running a blown destroked 400 which came out to 378 cu in. pwr glide. etc. it was fun we terrorized the streets for yrs with that car.

When I move back to TN in a few years, my dad and I are gonna start building one.

BUT that still sounds fun as hell to drive.

It was!!! I kinda miss those days we use to rule the streets around. You know the show street outlaws? Well we really did street race like that but not with the trailers being at the scene and all the construction lights but legit had cars like that running.
