Hmmm, you could stand it vertical against the back of the cab, and secure it to the bed rail. Would still leave a lot of bed space and you wouldn't be top heavy at all

edit: jk buy this, it's awesome

I thought I saw a pic one time of a tire carrier that fits up against the front of the bed. Not too concerned about bed space at the moment. Maybe I could find something quick release in case I ever actually have to haul something.

You don't need a traditional tailgate

Yeah it's pretty damn cool. @Nimble9 has a similar set up and really likes it. Gets the benefit of a swingout without the hassle of opening a swingout and then lowering the tailgate.

That would make your tailgate fooking HEAVY though. Opening and closing that thing would be such a bitch.

Howdy folks! Checking in after a 4 day hiatus. Went on a mini vacation for my buddy’s bachelor party.

Welcome back! I just ordered some 295 tires to replace my 255, and got my 4LO PRO plates in, as well as more Lair stickers. That's about all I can think of on my end.

Haha yeahhhhh. Closing that 100lb tailgate is gonna get old real quick.

    You have 17s or 16s?

And that’s gotta count for some #EAF points!

17s! So if you know anyone that wants some lightly used 255/80r17 and a matching spare on a steelie for $700, lemme know.

Thought so. Can you even get a 295 in a 16?

I would but I have 16s and so I would have to spend even more on wheels and my wallet is hurting. Lol
