Cheapest I know of is trail gear at $340, and after shipping would put you at $490. Not too terrible. Or SOS bolt on are $485 so you could probably have him make you some weld on ones for even cheaper, and could even weld them on for you

For some reason I was thinking they were cheaper. Will probably just do bolt on since the price point is so close. SOS would probably be the cheapest since I can go pick up and save on shipping.

The trail gear are only $340 which is pretty cheap, but shipping kills it. Local is definitely the way to go if you can.

I honestly want that streamline bumper before I go sliders so I have a recovery option with a winch. Plus I like that I can semi keep the stock look.

Yeah having a winch is really nice, especially as a prerunner. That said, sliders offer some valuable protection because fixing a rocker panel is expensive as hell. Just depends on your type of terrain down there in SC

I got an idea from a guy at one of our meets. Made his out of 4in pvc and just cut a hole for a valve stem and just uses his compressor to pressurize it and it costs close to nothing. Even less for me because I can get 4in pvc for free from work.

Free from work? That's pretty awesome! I like that this is portable, though I'm sure that can be done with some creative thinking with the PVC. Only reason I say that is my last camping trip, my headlights and passenger side window were MUDDY and this would have been handy.

Really not as many rocks/drop offs as y’all have. I usually just stick to more trail riding than serious off roading. I just go more for the views! Haha

Winch and recovery points would definitely benefit you more then!

That’s definitely on my list of need to do things. Rear suspension upgrade, locker of some sort, bumper with winch and then other things. Just want to make my truck a little more capable and less reliant on others but not going crazy with a conversion yet (at least until I pay it off).

Yeah since I work in water distribution we have pvc at the ready and a short 4ft piece could go missing without any questions. Then I could just mount some sort of handle to it and use quick fists to easily disconnect from truck.

EST, where do I plug in my third brake light for my shell? It’s got the wiring harness with the plug but I’m not sure there it plugs in.

I just used two wire taps and tapped into my tail light. Green wire with red stripe is + and white with black stripe is -

You could do it with a quick disconnect if you want to be able to remove your shell, but I didn't care enough to do it

Oh okay that seems easy enough. It just had a plug on it so I just wasn’t sure if it was plug and play or what.

You'd need the other side of the plug if you wanted to make it plug and play. Probably wouldn't be hard to source it through a local cap dealer if you wanted to

A scepter can, rain barrel spigot and Schrader valve make a pretty good pressurized water system. Add a hose and nozzle and your still under 100$ as long as you have some air already:oops:

5 gallon Scepter Military Water Container. Black to absorb heat for a nice warm shower.

@fatfurious2 had a Waterport- maybe he can provide a review.

He had V1 and as far as I know never really used it. That one doesn't appeal to me as much as this one. I like the portability aspect of V2 water port.
