@Redmann found this out the hard way haha

    6. They might mistakenly think that it only takes 2 hours to get from Richmond to Washington D.C.

I was just BSing you. If you want the Expedition Deavers there are other alternatives that I think may be a better option on the market for less money. Look at @Blackout14 set or the Dobinson heavy springs. Both of those have less leaves than the deavers but utilize a larger arch and stronger springs where Deaver just adds more leaves to achieve height and weight carrying capabilities. I think those 2 options are a far superior spring set up than the Deavers in terms of flex and load carrying capabilities. I wish Joe was making his and that I knew of the Dobinsons when I bought my Deavers I would of chosen one of them instead. Plus they are cheaper.

Hmmmm I wonder if you could adapt the HH to a chevy 63" pack with more arch to do even better.

You should see the Planning competitions they have. Those Japanese are serious artisans when it comes to joinery and carpentry. They take planning shavings they measure in mils because they are so thin you can see through them!

The frame will only tear if not done right or an excessive strain or impact is put on it if used for the designed purpose it will be just fine. Just have to put proper bracing in to mitigate where the loads travel. I should let you read some of the enginerding books I have on chassis design and suspension design they are quite interesting if you can keep up with your maths, load paths, etc.

But I'd rather have a truck that doesn't fall apart around the engine or have electrical gremlins galore. Enter the Super Duty 7.3l FTW!

But we all don't use it for its original purpose lol but I agree that reinforcement would be good. We should design a Lair's HD replacement frame for those who wheel (LHDRFTWW)

    Don't start me on Fords:rofl:

Hey when getting my frame replaced they told me that a new updated frame is now in effect and that I am getting new hard brake lines, fuel lines, and some other things since there has been some design change.

I hate all manufacturers for different reasons and equally there is zero favoritism given by me! I wrenched on everything for yrs. so I know the ins and outs with them all. Hence I am very picky when it comes to my vehicle purchases.

Thanks! I do my best to keep it within everyone's level of comfort. I really don't mind though and do like it for the most part, but I also don't mind following a bit too. Hah

Nice. I am slowly figuring how I am going to do my rear set up. I am thinking something like the HH with a custom Chevy 63 with more arch as they are a pretty flat spring to begin with. I may need you to be my leiason with the guys who made your springs.

@Redmann I like those bars on side of your bumper. What are they for? Also who makes that bumper?
