I thought you were adding 18’ on top of the 18’ that was already there.

Well as I suspected, I used wayyyy too much soap. Not a big deal though. I have enough tint to try again, and there’s a couple things I’ll do differently to try and do it better this time.

Off while your testing and tuning. You should be fine to run them both.

Found my new favorite thing. Apparently you can edit wikipedia, and preview it before publishing. That way you can make it look like the page but not actually change anything. This is my new favorite way to fuck around on this forum.

I'm heading to the Outer Banks first week in August. Maybe I can stop by on the way back up and we can wet a line?

I know you were replying to @Subway4X4 but I need help :help:

Buddy has a midland CB with a Wilson little will magnet mounted on the roof. When we tuned it, swr was good on channel one. Little less good on 19 and then on 40, way off. I can't find the reason why. We do get good reception/transmission when we speak, but mine is well tuned on all channels. Do you have a clue?

I mean, it's on wikipedia so you can't even argue. BTW are you working saturday? I don't remember. Would be fun if you joined at AOAA. A bone stock jeep will be there to harass.

    How way off is 40?

Edit: The antenna is probably too long and needs to be shortened. Is there a way to shorten it in the mount without cutting?

High like 4 if i remember well. We tried it last summer. There is a set screw holding it so you can raise it or drop it but it is already at the bottom. We tried cutting 1/4" of it and it did nothing so we stopped messing with it lol
