I have paint. Btw just got slapped with an all hands call at 1500 on Thursday. Does 1630 work for you? I predict we’ll be done by 8pm at the latest.

I wish I had a good group of tw'ers near me that would get together and do mod days...would maybe motivate me to start tackling my ever growing list of things that need to be done on the truck.

Ohhh they aren't getting replaced I'm welding them back together and then reinforce them. And then throw them aside until I need them again.

Before I dive into the technical threads, I figured I'd ask my question here first because it seems like you guys *sometimes* know what your talking about

After romping around with @Comatose, I've gotten the urge to replace my rear suspension setup. Currently running a 3pc AAL with Fox 985-26-116 meant for 0-1.5 of lift, with resis and adjustors. I love the shocks and want to keep them, but medium duty Dakars are on the horizon.

I called fox to ask if i had the shocks sent on for service, is there anything they can do to provide extra length to my current set. They can add an inch longer eye let on each shock for around $20 which would get me to around the 2.5 frame BUT it has no effect on extending the travel.

The same shocks meant for 2-3in of lift only contain .5in difference in travel compared to what I'm running currently with my AAL.

So question, is it dumb to have my current shocks modified as stated, or should I try and recoup my money and switch to a longer shock? I bought my current ones in a GB so I won't be able to get the same deal again.

I’d switch to longer shocks. I’m running b110 which are 27.3” extended and gimme a great amount of droop.
