I didn't have to remove my batt. I just took my big pry bar and bent the sheet metal from the under side then took a medium sized one and put the prying end against the bolt head and hit the handle with a bfh knocking it out. There are some things brute force just makes it easier than removing a bunch of stuff.

 

Alternatively some things it’s better to spend the extra 5 minutes to remove stuff to make your life easier and not have to resort to brute force. Just different styles of doing the same work.

 

I'm use to doing this stuff in a "production" type environment the faster you get it done without destroying the car the more you get paid.

I'm always amazed at the write ups and stuff when people are doing simple maint. how long it takes them or the routes they take. I sometimes forget that I got paid for almost 20yrs to do this so I can just look at things and see how they come apart. Things that are really easy and simple they make them look and seem like it's the hardest thing in the world.

 

Well you have to remember these write ups are for noobs and are written as easy as possible, and they don’t care how long it takes them.

 

A lot of them are done by newbs too like the removal of starter threads

Not yet. Only because I have been too lazy to go get envelopes to mail him my check. I'm going to the store in the morning so I'll get the check mailed out on tuesday. I am on his list though!

 

Did you hear what happened with the postal money orders? Hopefully he was able to get everything squared away.

Yeah he's in Canada. So he'd need to convert to CAD and then convert again to pay his suppliers, so the double conversion is too much. We just mail him a check. A tad sketchy but he's a well established member.

 

He even shipped me my order prior to recieving my envelope to him so i would have it in time for toyota takeover

That's really cool of him! He seems like a stand up guy. I can't wait to get my module.

 

It really is great. I have been thinking about adding a switch, but the install was so easy it makes wiring a switch seem like climbing a mountain

 

He's Canadian and we all know how stand up they are. Plus you know you'll get a lot of apologies if anything happens.
