yep my hands are sore today, cant imagine doing this for a living....probably if i had a better grinder and a nice grind stone it would have gone faster than the typical home depot disks

Did you do it all with cutting wheels and flap discs? I feel like with a plasma cutter and some 40 grit discs it wouldn't be so bad. I'm sure the pros have it down to a science

cut the big bits off with a acetylene torch and used a typical store bought dewalt disk. a 40 grit or even a 60 disk would have made a little faster work.

One thing I have found about storm prep is that nothing (money spent or effort) goes to waste even if the storm passes with no ill effect.

Extra water, fuel, food, etc will always be consumed after the storm passes.

And clearing storm drains around the area of the house, clearing gutters, checking trees for possible branch falls, storing or tying down outdoor furniture, checking generator for fuel and quick starting, are all shit that we should be doing anyway.

Checking vehicles and emergency contents, filling gas tank/fluids is just routine stuff for us.

I’m suspecting TW members are gonna be better prepared than most.

We just got upgraded to a higher condition of military weather readiness. Theres a chance of us shutting down and evacuating. I live on an island too... so I'm ready to head to NOVA at a moments notice. The :sandwich: nurse already told me to come stay with her.

I'm not worried about it been through 100s of them and dealt with the beach house and repairs enough that we got it down to a science. I'm somewhat of a prepper so I've got my stuff handled. Yesterday the beach house got boarded up and prepped. Went down in the afternoon and met my folks down there got home around 3 am. GTG on this front.
