I suggest a portable oxygen tank to get O2 in your system and get back into the game quickly.

Also, Gatorade is a good suggestion for hydration and replace the electrolytes and glucose lost.

Food takes too long to digest to provide the necessary energy boost. And coffee will just raise your heart rate.

We’ve been going about this all wrong. She’s a nurse, so she just needs to give him an IV!

    Good breakdown.

He missed mentioning that the police officer was cool/calm/collected enough to mark his tourniquet application time to radio dispatch.

Because of the craziness of the event, people won’t realize how long a tourniquet has been on and blocking blood flow to the extremity. This is good information for post gunshot care.

This cop shows a lot of signs of a lot of training in a lot of different situations. BAD ASS indeed!

This is very true most training that police officers receive don't prepare them to deal with situations like this police officer handled it. You can see from his partners cam that his partner ducked for cover then wasn't nearly as focused as he was. Also at the end of the video he said there was just too much cross fire and wanted to back out where it seemed the other cops weren't that concerned. If I were a betting man I would say he was probably a grunt or is in the SWAT or other special operations within the police force.

I try and tell people to get trained and practice that training but they think going to the range and shooting the cardboard bad guys is training enough. At my old house I took a cop friend of mine out for some run and gun fun and he couldn't keep up. He's just your run of the mill beat cop though I could definitely see the deficiencies the force he works for has and in hearing him tell me their proficiency and "training" requirements. The swat guys get a hell of a lot more training and preparedness for these situations.

To me there is just more than training for self defense but also in first aid, emergency situations, etc. The hurricane and natural disasters always make me laugh more perishable food is gone than the non.

Saw that cool camping rig today on my way back from hunting spot. It is a Citroen Jumper, with an European license plate. Some kind of overlander I guess. Citroen is not available in Canada. Must have been shipped here on a ship
