Yeah until you get use to it it can be a little butt puckering. Ask @FadedComa last time we were out there I turned down a trail and the corner of the intersection was so washed out my RR tire was a few feet off the grnd. It took me by surprise that got my heart pumping since it was blind and unexpected. Here is the pic once I got it settled back down

 

It really does pay off. Pretty much everything attached to my truck aftermarket uses 1/4x20 hardware. Makes it super easy to have one socket that does 90% of the work if I need to tweak things. And equally as irritating when you can't find that one socket. I need to buy like 3 more 10mm and 7/16 sockets as backups.

 

So you go crazy like that with no armor? Yikes! Looks very cool though, that long bed on those rocks!!!!

 

Oh I definitely recognize the mirror killer. When he came up to the house to do my lift and parked next to mine I'm sure I heard mine whimper.

 

Built a little holder out of plywood for my Coleman stove. Now it’s nice and easy to access.

I have armor now and yes I did some of that stuff with no armor just a lot slower and more methodical.

Or convert all this SAE hardware that's supplied with aftermarket stuff and replace with metric equivalent and you won't need to carry extra tools you'll already/should have them with you.

Sliders are a blessing and a curse I may have hit my rocker with some of the stuff I've been doing without them and being more aggressive. I love using them as pivots. But damn that extra 3" or so that hang down below the rocker hit shit I never hit before installing them and sometimes it gets annoying hearing that bang and scrape.

 

I suppose I could, but I had a bunch of extra stuff for my Prinsu, and that kinda lead the charge. Plus finding lock nuts and security bolts, etc seem to be easier to find in imperial sizes in a pinch around here. For tools, I carry a full contingent of metric and SAE, just easier when you don't have to change sockets, etc every 5 seconds.

 

I did a 4wd course a while back at a OHV terrain park. Had to drive up a big triangular wall/curb type thing and get the front pax wheel up in the air, you eeked it forward to where the driver front and pax rear was on the edge, then scooched forward, and the truck pivoted so the driver rear was then in the air. Scared the ever living shit outta me, but it was kinda fun in retrospect.

Man my local Lowe's and HD carry a decent assortment of metric and if that fails there is a fastenal like 3 min further away. Yeah I am looking at making something similar to the prinsu but in using Metric T-slot rails. Oh I only carry what I really need my tools are very slim when it comes to what I carry nothing more than is needed to do any roadside/trail fix. I need to go back through and probably add a few though. I put my truck on a diet from all the extra crap I use to carry around. Lost probably 100lbs or more.

 

I see where you're going with that that would be cool! Good idea.

 

Yeah, I've definitely paired it down quite a bit as well. All my tools fit in a kobalt tool box behind the passenger seat. The black box hides really well from prying eyes as well.

 

I use it on the swingout table! It’s the perfect size. Also I already recognized and fixed a flaw in my design. If I have to open my tailgate on a hill, my stove could fall right out. A little 550 cord and boom, problem solved.
