I would just space your bumps up a little at a time until when you stuff the tire the spring is flat.

Ha! I'm not quite that motivated! But who knows, I haven't had a chance to really sit down and think about it and what all would be involved.

I rolled on the herculiner on my trailer. It was easy and more than likely less of a pain in the ass than spray.

I just saw your post about the MDI and it's health risks. Thanks for sharing that because I would have never thought of that. Looks like I have some research to do

I'm not sure if I wanna do that or just wear these expos slam out so I have a excuse to get custom deavers:thumbsup: I also need to figure out if I want to just do b110s or go with a shock relocate. These foxes are 10inch travel. I saw @inesshell said the relocate wasnt worth the effort so I am on the fence.

the relocate definitely gives you more uptravel but down is always limited by your leafs, even with b110s they still had some room to go if the leafs would let them.

if you do go relocate, buy really good grinding disks, otherwise you be doing it for a few hours on end to clean up the globs of welds on the frame and axle

Personally I don't see much benefit from a relocate unless you go SUA or 63s the length of our springs then becomes the limiting factor for the amount of flex. Even with custom deavers you'll have to play with the bumps to prevent uptravel. Also playing with your hanger location can help with the flex you have now. B110s for the cost are really good without all the expense and time to do a really custom rear set up. I really like mine.

You can get resi's I think Bilstien came out with an extended resi for our truck or is. If you're looking for resis. You can also call them and tell them you want the 5125s in the same spec as far as extended and compressed height as the b110s and they'll make em for ya and probably cheaper than kings or the like.

    @TaKoToy

for the trouble of relocates, i would have honestly stuck with b110s and spent money elsewhere

otherwise ive enjoyed having rear resi alot on the long corrugated roads and long desert trail roads. they soak up a lot of stuff and just make blasting at speed through those two situations more comfortable

    :hattip:

Just wanted to throw my hat into the ring regarding the 63 vs non-63 swap with shock relocation and shackle flip.

I ALMOST went the 63 route. Had most of the items to do it except for the kit from RuffStuff. Decided not to waste my time spending 2 days at a buddy's house to do the swap. At the time, I was planning a wedding and just purchased a house and the wife was going through some family stuff. The 63's and everything I had for that went to my little brother. I don't think the pain is worth the reward depending on how/where/frequency of time you spend offroading.

Same ORV park, same obstacle to flex on, SIMILAR results. Having not taken a tape measure to it, my guess would be a difference of 1.5"; not really enough to warrant a pissing contest.

    Mine:
Full dakar leaf pack with DK29XL AAL
    ATO stock length shackles
    BAMF shock relocation
    Bilstein 12" shocks
    285/75/16's

    My little bro:

    4 leaf Chevy 63's
    Ruff Stuff kit (6" shackle)
    BAMF shock relocation
    12" Kings
    285/75/16's
(his rear tire is SLIGHTLY lifted off the ground in this pic)

The little bro is moving to 14" Kings with the front Ford shock towers soon.

I think there they're so similar because you're both running 12" shocks and I bet that's limiting his travel. If you look at rattletraps truck with 14" shocks his droop is utterly insane. Again though, not worth it IMO for the amount of work that goes into it. You and I are on the same page.

    Correct.

If you plan on sticking with 12" shocks, 63's don't really matter. Where you start to see the difference, IMHO is 14" shocks or MOAR. At that point, however, you're cutting into the bed or running a flatbed at 16"+.

I am not sure if some of you have seen, but Nathan's truck with a flatbed running 18" shocks is nuts. His droop is INSANE. But, a lot of work went into his. Again, I think people underestimate this mod when you have people like him with 18" shocks thinking they will get the same results on 12" shocks.

Also a big part is suspension set up we are kind of adapting this stuff to work for us vs. designing it to work the way you intend to use it. Trade-offs. For me and the places I am going and the type of wheeling I like to do the 63s with 14" shocks will be good. Even that 1.5" or so will be a benefit.

Correct. Like I said, and I think the recurring theme of the discussions with @EatSleepTacos is that it all comes down to the driving you do; where/what/frequency etc.
