So my steering rack officially took a shit after a year and a half. It's leaking like a mad man where the steering rack goes into it. I'm not even mad though from the abuse I put that through. Luckily there's a 3 year warranty on it so I've got a new one one the way and will swap that in next week. Luckily I learned my lesson from the first go around so this one should be painless.

That’s about the length I want. Mine is a 4’x8’ and I’d like to cut about 3’ off to make it more compact. Would still have plenty of storage.

Thinking about cutting off the extra space On each side of the rack. Mine sits at maybe 300lbs.

I’ve got a nice sized dent in my skid I noticed yesterday.

So on the rearward mounting points for my IFS skid, the nut welded on the inside of the frame broke off. No way to get anything in there to grab ahold of it so it gave me a chance to buy a new toy. Plan is to cut the bolt, and weld in these weird nut things. It also gave me an opportunity to upgrade to a beefier bolt.

That’s a great idea actually. I’m gonna pitch that to Mrs EST so I don’t get shot later. Between this and the steering rack I’ve spend $600 today.

AND ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS FLUID FILM MY TRUCK.

I, too, have to upgrade my rear most bolts on my 3rd skid. They were somehow misplaced on the TW express a few years back so I had to have the company send me more. Just used what I had to get them on and they have held up, but I should replace them sooner or later.

    I like your toy :D

Make sure u use good anti seeze. Or u may be doing it again. Or i do sell grade 8 weld nuts 5/8 to 1/7/16 coarse threads. Can u see the broken nut? Try welding wrench to a rod to reach it n hold it.

$600 and you have yet to fluid film the truck? Or with the fluid film?
