I can change your mind with measurements. The key factor is tire size in ground clearance or for your diffs. Everything else is determined by suspension lift.

Most people are afraid to cut now a days to fit those larger tires to gain clearance. That's the other thing you see a lot.

"I want 285 but I don't want to cut anything."

They make spacers so you can put what ever suze tyre you want on. Just some states require fenders.

Ok, let's debate. I went to dinner with some friends, one has a rather bad ass jeep. His sliders are only the square tubes under the rocker panel. They are beat to hell and not a scratch on his rockers

So who decided we needed all this fricking tubing? I know the "they keep you off trees, etc etc" explanation. But why can't we just have impact tuning just under the rockers?? Maybe outside a couple inches, I don't really need a step, my 4 inch vertical will clear the sill panel.... maybe.

Is this just a design someone came out with first and everyone just followed? I really love the stealth clean look of just the tubing. That are angled on the ends so as not to hang up on rocks.

Help me understand beyond driver error, why would this not work for us as well??
