I saw they were setting rr ties on fire on some tracks to thaw the ice to get trains moving. I have never in my life heard of that. Gonna talk to some rail engineers here and ask if that compromises the integrity of the tracks. Not sure how it couldn't knowing what little I know about rail.

    Crazy!

With just some quick research, I was able to pull up several articles about engineers setting the metal rails on fire to stop them from cracking and separating from bolts, as well as clearing ice. It looks like it wouldn't hurt the integrity too terribly much, but that was with my 5 minute google degree that I just got. I don't actually know.

I heard that some of the RR track switches were freezing and they were using the fire to thaw the track so they could direct the trains. That is crazy cold.

On a local toyota forum, there is a member who has pulled the trigger on the OME BP-51 suspension. Why we don't hear much about it on here?

If I had to guess, because it costs about as much as kings and people would rather go kings since it's more established and been around awhile. I know Arb/OME in general is an established and respected company, but the bp-51 is a pretty new product line.

One thing that is cool about them is the compression and rebound can both be adjusted independently. Every other high end coilover with adjusters is just compression. Not sure if that makes it worth it though.

I am afraid to look at mine...they have sounded similar the last week or so! They get really pissed off when it is cold.

I guess for picky people, but imo, when you hit a certain level of quality you don't noticed much of difference?

and on another note, just for comparison, a friend got a full ome suspension priced (shock, coils, leafs) and it's 1625$cad, seems good?

Yeah that seems like a great price! That's really not too far off what we'd pay USD
