Sounds good. We’ll see how it holds up over time too. It’s stainless steel and I’m using regular steel wire to wed it. So I’m hitting it with some paint to prevent rust.

There was rumor our command was gonna force everyone to switch early, and if that was the case I was just going to wear nsus until I got out. I’m not paying for that shit.

I’d just stick with stock exhaust before doing that, partially because I don’t think it’d stick to the bed liner very well. I really think the resonator will make a big difference though

I'm still going strong in my type 1s. I am changing over in may with my uniform allowance.

If you can work around the otherwise limited cargo space in any way (trailer, roof basket, rear basket) then just do it. I doubt very much you would regret the decision.

The 4RTrail will flat tow as much as my Tacoma. And honestly, for a guy my size, the Runner was a lot more comfortable off the bat in every way. Not everyone has that (size) problem or requires that much comfort though. I have grown into the Taco, and now I am very satisfied. I wish I could afford both, and my hybrid car.

One thing though Adam, when I was looking at them (4Runners) I read a lot of stuff about them. I always over analyze everything. I couldn't find anything bad being said about them except one complaint that kept coming up. That is that "it rides too much like a car, and I wanted more of a truck feel". This confused me so much until I drove one. Then I understood. They are comfortable AF to drive!!!!!! I read "too much body roll". I drive like a manic sometimes and I never felt it had too much. My Tacoma without the front anti sway bar has about the same. Now if you have the money, and can afford it, try to find one with the KDSS system, and hell, look for one with the sliding cargo tray. I didn't have those features but I heard they were Money. If nothing else, at least get the Trail or now they call it Off Road.

If you have a camping trailer then you're set! Just make sure to get or make a folding draw bar for the rear basket. When we go to the beach there is no place to store a basket so it had to stay on the runner. Here's a pic of the roof cargo basket and the packed cargo bag. LOL

The one good thing about a 4Runner and cargo is that it is all protected and always dry ( :boink: @ovrlndkull ). Not to say a Tacoma can't do that too but you will need a cap or a hard tonneau or something.

That’s the dumbest shit and part of why I’m over the navy. Like, what is the point of making people switch a year early? Clearly the 3 year window was planned out by some admiral, but nooooooo, local Joe Schmoe CO wants to make it 2 years.
