Well, maybe just keep one of those cheapie vape pens on hand for those times. That's how we quit. Vaped with nicotine juice, stepping it down to zero over time, then eventually got tired of the vape meass sometimes associated with them. You never want to leave one laying down anywhere.

So now it's been about 5 years, maybe 6 since we quit smoking and yea, I would be lying if I said the thought hasn't crossed either of our minds..........especially at the bar..........but then someone will come in from outside having a cig and they walk past or come up and start talking and we are both disgusted by the smell.

Just be strong. It's not easy but so worth it. Not smoking 3 packs a weeks = a set of tires. A pack a day is a vacation to Mexico.

I quit cigarettes 6 years ago. Started vaping a few years back. The bad thing about vape is it doesn't stink. The stink of cigarettes is one of the main reasons I quit.

Same here Rob. I had so much of that vape equipment. All Kangertech. Some of it was expensive. Mod boxes etc. No matter what though, it seemed like after a while it was just more of a hassle. I stopped and the wife asked why I wasn't vaping. I told her I gave it up like 3 weeks ago (at the time), so she stopped too.

Originally, even though it wasn't the cause, when my wife was diagnosed with endometriosis, she quit cigarettes immediately. I was with her at the doctors office for the diagnosis, and threw the pack I had away before we left. Never looked back.

She's fine now and all her follow-ups have been 100% positive. Just put the fear of God into us.

There are some downsides to vaping as well. There are a lot of chemicals in that shit and you are still getting nicotine. It'll probably be like cigarettes were until we get through a generation of vaping and actually seeing the medical side effects. The other thing is not all vape is created equal. My brother bought me a super nice expensive vape pen and juice like right when it started getting popular. I saw the first ingredient glycol like the shit in antifreeze. I took one puff felt like I was inhaling the steam off a car when a radiator hose blows. I was sick from that shit for like 2 days.

Not saying cigarettes is better we know what that shit does. I lost a good friend to them. Just be weary smoking anything into your lungs and blood stream isn't going to be the best for you. Also I am really trying to quit. It takes me like 3 days or so to smoke a pack. Down from 1+ packs a day.

You're likely right about finding out 40 or 50 years from now that something about vaping is bad but for now, the two main ingredients.......

Propylene glycol is a synthetic liquid substance that absorbs water. Propylene glycol is also used to make polyester compounds, and as a base for deicing solutions. Propylene glycol is used by the chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industries as an antifreeze when leakage might lead to contact with food. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has classified propylene glycol as an additive that is "generally recognized as safe" for use in food. It is used to absorb extra water and maintain moisture in certain medicines, cosmetics, or food products. It is a solvent for food colors and flavors, and in the paint and plastics industries. Propylene glycol is also used to create artificial smoke or fog used in fire-fighting training and in theatrical productions.

Propylene glycol breaks down at the same rate as ethylene glycol, although it does not form harmful crystals when it breaks down. Frequent skin exposure to propylene glycol can sometimes irritate the skin.

Vegetable glycerin is a clear, odorless and sweet-tasting liquid derived from vegetable fats.

It is added to food, toothpaste, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals and may offer health benefits, such as moisturized and resilient skin, relief from constipation, improved hydration and better physical performance.

Yes, the other additives are nicotine and food grade flavorings but you can opt to not have any nicotine with a flavor that mimics tobacco. That's how we quit. We just kept stepping down the nicotine level using flavors that were basically American Spirit cigs. Ultimately it just became a waste of time and money.
