Why don't you do a Maine registration? It's a lot cheaper than maryland.

 

How is doing a registration in another state legal? Especially if you don't live there? Don't you have to go to the MVA in that state to pick up your plates? No way they mail them.

 

Not for Maine trailer registrations? Look at all of the tractor trailers and boat trailers with Maine registrations. There are web sites specifically for getting Maine tags. They also do a 12 year tag.

Forgot to mention that a buddy of mine has had a Maine tag on his boat trailer for the last 8 years. No problem at all.

The guy said in an email he did a 12 year registration in Main. The tag in the one picture is a Maine tag. I just assumed he had it up in Maine, living there and just brought it down here to Md.

Who knew!? Shit, maybe I'll register my current trailer in Maine

NC does lifetime trailer registrations and they can be transferred to a new trailer. Not sure if you can do an out of state though.

 

Well us folks down in SC don't even need to register our trailers.
