Waiting for an engine to arrive is actually painful... I've legitimately run out of shit to do... Only working 4days a week blows when you run out of things to do. I've been cleaning the house all day lol

 

that's my Saturday every weekend in the winter lol too cold to work on the truck so I just clean the place and do laundry. so thrilling I love it! I even spice things up and clean the bathtub every now and then.

 

My cleaning the house has had an odd effect on my fiance. If you know what I mean lol she has been asking me to text her pics of me cleaning lol

You're probably right.. fuck I'll even have dinner ready when she gets home....

 

But it's ok cause once that engine is done I'll disappear into the shop for a week

I got excited about my new shower curtain rings.... that's how my winter is going.

 

I bought sliders in January and they are still sitting on my work bench.

not that I can speak, I bought a full set of mobtown skid plates at Christmas and I still haven't installed them... or painted all of them.... that was Christmas of 2017....

 

I'm waiting on a price point from Jlee on a bolt plate. Otherwise I have to order steel and fab some weld on mounts per @Comatose 's suggestion. Just weighing options.

 

please explain sir. are they weld on sliders that you want to bolt on?

Bought these for cheap off a guy in CO. Looks like he cut them off with a plasma torch....

 

I would just add plates then weld it to the frame. I’d also add a square tube piece from the rearward most leg, out towards the kickout. That’s a lot of unsupported slider.

 

And gussets

that's the plan unless I can get a good price point on the bolt on plates. That way I don't lose the truck for a day (or longer if I have to leave it there) while they get burned on.

 

If you can weld on the plates and whatnot, why couldn’t you weld them on the truck yourself?
