It's what my mom does. She went to school for a little bit then she works in a hospital for a bit then she can work remotely from home.

I was until I priced it out. You know how much a spring kit was? For one side? $90 FUCKING DOLLARS.

Yep, I was blown away. I didn't even price out shoes and drums at that point. I nope'd right the fuck out of there and went to rockauto, where I discovered the powerstop kit.

I figure if I'm driving around with drums that fucked, literally anything is an improvement. So I didn't feel the need to drop cash on OEM.

Truth, didn't look like there was any meat left on those pads! Gonna feel different for sure.

Absolutely none. What's a bummer is the kit is out of stock everywhere so it's gonna be about a month before it gets in. Oh well. I put it back together and went to taco bell.

I'm rocking autozone front pads and have been for 25k. Checked them today while I had the truck apart and still had a lot of meat left. I want the fuckers to wear down so I can upgrade, but it's going to be awhile.

What a day! I wasn't going to fuck around with transporting my toolbox this time!! All 3 Craftsman locks (top, mid, and bottom) seran wrapped top to bottom and side to side with 3 ratchet straps to hold it in place. Overkill? Maybe? Am I crazy? My wife said I was. Fucks given? Zero.

Did you call around to local parts stores and see if they had that stuff in stock? I know you are all about your online stuff but places like NAPA usually carry that stuff. May not be in a kit but would at least get you going and not riding metal on metal.

I looked at napa and they're $100 per drum, then gotta get shoes and springs. I don't think I'll find a better deal than this. I have no problem riding around metal on metal. It's not making any noise and I guarantee it's been doing this for a horribly long time. I don't see the issue since I plan on replacing the drums anyways, since my drivers side one is super fucked. The inside is like a ruffles chip.

I had autozone duralast gold pads for a while too.

Those and their coated rotors are fine.

Apparently their drum brakes are junk

That's surprising. I'm hoping since power stop is a well known name that'll be ok. Like I mentioned earlier, literally anything is going to be an upgrade. I think it'll just come down to how long it lasts.

Only two possible outcomes from this. Total stoppage or express lane.
