Not to mention the extra wind noise/ potential hit in MPGs from having it on your roof. I dont currently have a full sized spare but now i'm probly gonna get one of those tire repair kits until i can find a cheap spare 33. Dont know why I didnt think of that till you mentioned it.

My tires are small and weigh 80 lbs with the wheel. Roof?! Fawk that!

@EatSleepTacos I wanted to wait before saying anything....but my MPG went UP when I switched to 33s. It must be my driving habit now....I was getting about 17 before and now my truck says I'm at about 19...which means its even higher due to the larger tires. Definitely not what I was expecting.

Interesting. It may also be the diameter of the tire playing a roll because that messes with the odometer, but it anything that should make it seem worse than it is. Weird.

Exactly. If I travel 1 hour with my odometer at 60mph and burn 3 gallons of gas then I'm actually going 65 miles so my MPG is 21.67 rather than 20. I never would have thought my MPG would go up. I don't go faster than 65 now though which is probably where I'm saving most of my gas.

Yeah true. I gained almost two MPG just by slowing down and cruising at 60. I can pull 15 mpg in my pig, which is crazy to me.

Yeah I find myself riding at 55 a lot now. I kinda don't care if I'm in the way either....though I will move over to the right as quick as I safely can. People don't seem to get frustrated with me either...maybe it's all the rear facing lights...

Yeah I just cruise in the right lane, going the speed limit. I figure people really can’t get mad if I’m all the way right. And if they do, and that point, fuck em.

Rethinking 35's and going with 255's for all the OLAF points

I had 255s. A good tire but I just can’t get past the looks. It’s not BAD but dammit the wide tires look way better to me.

A concern with me for sure. I would want to test fit and see. Chux's rig looks great though. Kind of the inspiration behind the pizza cutters.

If I can get another daily I'll run 35's no problem.

You need a Hybrid DD. Then you can run 40's.

Although I tell myself with the car getting nearly 40 mpgs it's ok if the truck gets 16-17.................until I go to the gas station twice in a week.

I just luv drivin' that truck!!

His OP on his thread says 255's but that was updated a year ago.
