Did a few things today. Installed the awning, and mounted my tire holder in the bed.

Overall, I’m not super thrilled with it. The floor of the bed flexes easier than I thought, and it blocks about half of my rear view window. I threw a strap on which really helps with flex, but time will tell if it becomes an issue.

I may just ditch it and strap the tire to the side of the bed. That way it won’t crack the floor and it will suck it up against the wall more.

That’s a genius idea. I should try and fab something up like that.

It actually bounced quite a bit, all swingouts do. But the difference is that bumper can take it.

Damn, that sucks Randy! Why did I think it would be closer to the bed side on the mount!? I have an idea but it's too hair brained to bring up.

Edit - finally, someone bought the proper sized awning!

This that and the other thing.
you could weld on another bar on the back that reaches the rail and put some t slot nuts in to anchor it instead of the strap maybe kind of sorta if ya wanted too haha doesn't fix the blind spot issue tho hahaha

Maybe switch sides and put it behind the driver side....that'll impact your view less but it might not flow as well with your fridge unless you can swap that side too.

Hard. It’s through bolted in like 6 places, and the power outlet is right there
