Didn't get around to looking at it. We are trying to determine if we can afford something new.

Im gonna fill you in on a secret. I buy car/trucks on online auto auctions. All I have to go by when I decide if I will bid & how much is 8 auction house pictures. In them I have to determine as much information about the car as possible. I look for uneven body panel caps, missing engine covers, warning lights on the dash etc.

Nothing turns me off more than a filthy interior. If the previous owner cared little to nothing about the visible aspect of their car, it is highly unlikely that belts fluids and routine maintenance were kept up with.[/QUOTE]

I generally don't like spending other people's money but new always gets my vote!

But in the case of a 4Runner, since they cost so damn much, maybe you could consider CPO? That way at least some of the sting is gone and you get a much better warranty.

How bout a lease? Low monthly payments, you drive it while under factory warranty, return it after 3 years. If you really love it then you get to buy it at the depreciated price.

My wife is currently on her 4th lease. We love it.

I leased my 4RT and about the only thing I could find negative was I always felt like it wasn't mine as much. Other than that it's a great deal.

Morning! Softopper comes in today. Hoping it’ll get delivered before I go camping. If not, oh well.

Went with black! It was a toss up between that and tan, I was really torn. No rack for me, as I have nothing to put on it. My reason for the switch was to be able to run an open bed with ease and a rack kinda defeats that purpose.

Do they have something you can treat and coat the black soft toppers with? I know they fade really bad from what I've seen.

Yeah, I feel ya! I love having a softopper. I have the rack for the RTT, and I designed mine to not be modular like mobtowns. Theirs is a cool design, 4 bolts and it's an open bed again! Stoked to see the softopper on your rig! You gonna 303 it as soon as you get it?

Yeah I was just planning on religiously 303’ing it! But I was planning on running no softopper most of the time, and only put it up for trips where it’s needed. I bought the storage bag and will just store it in my garage, hanging on the wall.

Nice! I leave it on year round, and clean it a few times a year. Magic eraser works great for getting mud and stuff off of it haha

I treat mine like a red headed step child. The bird poop adds character:rofl:I really need to wash and 303 it.

Did you sell that awning ? I was wondering if it was mounted to both of your prinsu or just the rear?

Yeah that was the first thing to sell! I only had it mounted to the shell. The bed and cab flex independently of one another so you don’t wanna tie the two together.

That's what I was thinking. I just ordered the arb awning and room so I can ditch this heavy ass tent.
