I’m picking up what you’re putting down! I think it’s a great idea. I’ll get measurements later.

The, so they complained to them, and then they chirped at you about it?

Sorry I shouldn't laugh. People are just petty. If my neighbors let their yard slip, I would just mow it for them...(done it a time or two or ten before).

I mowed mine today, and edged and even broke out the leaf blower. Looks damn good.

But I didn’t want to do it and would have waited until Monday or Tuesday (rain tomorrow). Only reason was because of my neighbors snitching on me. I coulda been kayaking!

I hear ya! I mowed mine this am too. It had been more than two weeks....:anonymous: it was a PITA, because I forgot to shut the sprinklers off and it watered early this am, so it was WET! Nothing like trying to mow 8" long, soaked grass!

I would kill for some time on a yak with a fishing pole in my hand!

My new favorite thing is to be driving with my wife and see some city owned property with long ass grass and say "We should contact their landlords!"

I picked up a new fancy paddle today and ordered a new PFD as well. Things are gettin serious!

What kind of PFF did you get? I really want one of the auto inflate ones. So I could wear it full time and have it not be too obtrusive to my ability to move around, but it would inflate automatically should I hit the water. I am a decent swimmer, but some of the lakes I would fish around here are mid 50s at best even during the warmer months, so even the best swimmers wouldn't last too long if they end up in the water.

    My dream yak!

    I'd even settle for this!

I got the nrs ninja. I wanted something smaller, front pocket, and lashing points so I can add a knife to the front. I considered an angler one with a bunch of pockets up front but then I’d likely feel the need to put a bunch of shit in the pockets, making it too heavy.

    https://www.nrs.com/product/40013.03/nrs-ninja-pfd

I haven’t tried the inflating ones, but I have reservations about them. I like the simplicity of buoyant ones, as it’s one less thing to go wrong in a shitty situation. I capsize in a river in Oregon a couple years ago, and it was pretty shocking. I was wearing a pfd and even then it felt like my world got turned upside down. I’m a good swimmer too (swam competitively in high school) but I don’t fuck around with no life jackets.

Those are some nice kayaks! I haven’t decided on my “dream” kayak yet, but I would like it to be 14’ long and have proper dry storage compartments for gear. Definitely a touring kayak of some sort. That’s why I got a nicer paddle (weighs 30oz vs 40.4oz of my old one, and is more rigid) to get more into longer trips. I have a 30 mile, two night trip coming up in october so I have some prep and work ups to do.
