It was! And we're still unsure if that was actually the trail or not. That part wasn't clearly marked. I'm gonna tell myself it was.

I wasn't about to drive 9.5 hours each with with tube doorz on. I learnt my lesson last trip out.

You disappoint me sometimes Randy. You needed to live that one life! Where is your sense of adventure? I miss the old Randy. The Randy who didn’t give A Phuk & welded on cardboard, the Randy who would sell his used tires after bathing them in Mexican tire shine despite a language barrier. The Randy who would pull a dashboard apart only to remove a low tire pressure light bulb from the dash. The Randy who would steal the candy from the unattended candy store at work because they wouldn't take debit.

What Randall says. But we had a blast I loved it. Our sliders and skids took a beating. I'm pretty sure the bumper took a couple hits too. They were really big boulders for what we had. Made is somewhat challenging/interesting and fun as hell.

On another note I never got high centered the entire weekend yet had to pull Randy off a rock he got high centered on.

That bastard rock was impressive. That's the one that mangled my crossmember in the pic up there.

Was it I thought that was a different rock and on the DS not the PS. Either way it hit hard and mangled it good. Hence Flat belly is in my future. Getting things up out of the way is the goal.

That's similar to what they run on the haul trucks at the mine here. They look like ants on the mountain when they are out working the front of the mine.

Pic I took looking down into the mine the last time I was up the canyon.

More grounding is never a bad thing with radios (or alternators). Those ditch brackets are likely painted or PC'd so you'd want an external ground to make up for the loss of contact because of the coating. I'd run a ground strap from the antenna to one of the hood hinge bolts or one of the fender bolt holes.

Clarification: You do not want to ground the antenna. You want to ground the antenna mount. Everything from the CB signal out, antenna wire and antenna needs to be electrically isolated from the vehicle.
