I think coming through the top of the cowl is a better idea.

I also read on some older trucks it's a good idea to seal off the dipsticks. Some guys just wrap duct tape around the top. A plastic baggie down over the end and then duct taped would be safer.

I just got my parts to do the cowl air intake reroute. About to trim my fenders and loose my liners too (hence the cowl intake) after my trailroyz trim arrives. Then go up to 34/35s, TBD. Looking forward to see how yours turns out. I would love to see some photos of your wheel stuffing/no coilover method. Never considered that as a way to check tire clearance.

Your build is great, it is one of the builds that has provided some inspiration for mine .... so thank you.

What I would do is wait to decide on a tire size before trimming fenders, unless you just want to do that anyways. What I did with my 295s was a cmc, cut plastic out of the way and hammered the pinch weld flat. This was before they were even mounted. That way I could drive around town without having to worry about them rubbing.

Week or two later I did the coilover thing and had to clear a good bit more out of the way. Looks like it’s doing yoga.
