Just landed back in DC! Unfortunately our luggage will be arriving on a later flight (thanks a lot united) but at least I have my car keys and other essentials with me so I'll just get it tomorrow.

Landed in Austin at 11pm. We landed ahead of the storm and fled town. Ended up in Laredo, Tx but safe and dry. We had a horrible time finding a room. The evacuees from Corpus and the surrounding areas made it all the way here. I still have a 3 hour drive home but it will along the border with no Harvey in sight.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
Harvey was a cat 4 when it hit Rockport. Currently we are getting heavier bands of rain. Rain totals last night were .6"

Is harvey affecting where you live or will you have to stay away for a few days?

It is not affecting where I live. Unfortunately it did affect the route I would have taken to get home. I 37 runs parallel with the coast line and it was engulfed by the hurricane. I had to flee west of the storm/coast to find an alternate way home. A 5 hour drive turned into an 8 hour drive with the detour. We managed to edge out the storm and only got strong wind gusts while outside of San Antonio.

Not yet. I am in Laredo, Tx. I found a room here last night. I drove in around 3am. I am getting a quick shower and hitting the road. I am still 3 hours away from home.

*Edit EST Bear survived a Category 4 hurricane. He has had quite the adventure
