Well, the reckless driving and 3 days in jail also helped me realize that haha

@EatSleepTacos / lair groupies, question... what have you done about CV angles? Mine inner boots are rubbing quite a bit and the groove is getting pretty deep so I'd like to do something before they self destruct. I'm thinkin about just removing the small clamp sliding it a bit and securing with a hose clamp. Anybody do this kinda half assed boot slide mod?

Run them till they die there are some aftermarket boots and CVs you can buy but not really worth it IMO

Oh and as far as attaching CV boots with hose clamps that's some jack leg shit. Just buy the swege clamp tools and clamps easy and cheap and proper and no possibilities of the clamps hitting anything and ripping off.

I scrubbed mine with a brush and dawn, then sprayed on some silicone crc stuff, seems to help.

I was initially planning on running them till they die but i would rather do something about it now to buy myself some time. Seems much easier and cheaper to just slide it down a bit rather than have to completely reboot it and deal with the mess/ chance of getting shit in there

You use a regular hose clamp or an actual CV boot clamp? Nd how has it held up? I'm worried about having to tighten it so much to keep it from sliding back into its groove
