    Always loved my DC job when you'd need to get read in to some new program all of which had ridiculous project names like ROOSTER COURT, then every once in a while it would be like "But do you have G?" and the simplicity seemed odd.

    I bought a mount that bolts onto the tailgate to hold a hi lift jack. It would be exposed & places more weight on the tailgate. I got a sense of instant buyers remorse.

    Thoughts?

    I wouldn't consider it an issue. You could always get a boot to protect the guts of it. The key to success is keeping it lubricated, as simple as wd40 or fluid film.
