You could derp it pretty easily as a proof of concept. Just peel it off if you hate it.

    Did this yesterday...

    20190919_121634.jpg

Anyone have any ideas where I might look for a leak with the symptoms being a wet seat belt when I pull it out to buckle before I head home from work. We have gotten a bit of rain the past few weeks. And both days after it had really poured, when I have gone to leave work my seat belt feels wet in the section that retracts into the pillar when I am not wearing it. No sign of water on the floor near/around the pillar or on the headliner...

The bolt holes for the roof rack. Thats the culprit for wet front seat belts.

Was gonna say the same. Peel back the weather stripping ( just held on with adhesive) and seal up the holes however you see fit. Maybe a bolt with a rubber washer and then some silicone? I dunno.

Have an OEM roof rack installed. And some of the bolts got cross threaded I think. Not sure if i can get them to tighten up at all. Might have to drop the headliner and just try to cover them with flex tape or something.

    Or trade the truck in...

It's a pain in the ass but you can remove the rack, on the side leaking, and add silicone to the bolts. The rubber washers are very thin and loose. If the threads are stripped on the bolts you should be able to get replacements at HD or Lowes. Washers too.

When I installed mine I went crazy with the loctite which I think did the trick. I'll definitely use silicone the next time even though I've been lucky.

I think the one I saw was cement. I like the green with the riveted panels though.
