Pro tip I worked at a McDonald's for a time. No where in the frying hashbrowns instructions is there anything about salting them if they do then that's someone going the extra step. They are preseasoned.

 

I love salt on my hashbrowns though. I do order no pickles and onions on my burger though, so I get a fresh one.

 

Pro tip. Things have changed since your time at McD’s in the 60’s.

You aren't getting a fresh one the patties sit in a warming tray. It's an assembly line. Bun comes out of toaster, someone adds all condiments, then person slaps patty on and wraps it. So the dude doing the condiments just leaves off the onions and pickles you still get a patty that has been sitting in a warming try. Best way to get fresh is figure out when your fast food resturant has their rush times and go then or ask for one freshly cooked.

 

My agenda today? Second cup of coffee. Laundry? Breakfast. Free time.
