it's a sporting goods store similar to Dick's. Cheaper stuff but same quality usually. That's where I got mine from.

I wonder how much it would cost to ship you one...

Since I took out my platform to get the kayaks in there (probably coulda left it in) I decided to give it a mini overhaul. With the scrap I had, I fashioned up a drawer system with what I had on hand. The two Tupperware fit perfect length wise, so I screwed it onto the wood. Then added a handle and a couple stops to catch it from sliding all the way out!
    IMG_1247.jpg

This is with it fully extended
    IMG_1248.jpg

Here's the stops. Just two little blocks of wood to catch on the open tailgate.
    IMG_1249.jpg

Voila! All done. Going to pick up two more Tupperware and make one for the other side. I'll have tools and recovery gear on that side.

Did a test run with the wife back there and we still both fit even with the gas can there.

Gas can should go outside now so the smell of it don't stay in clothes ans sleeping bag, and a mess happens so fast!

Also, just a proposition, but wouldn't you prefer to build side rails on your drawer so you can use all the space available under the platform? By using the tupperware you can be limited because of the lid and its sides that are not molded to the space available.

Ok, trying to finalize my wheel order. What backspacing and offset is everyone using to get "stanced"? or most ppl just go 4.5 and 0 with wheel spacers? I would like to actually get the tires outside of the flares a little bit, kind of like @ChadsPride look.

The gas can doesn't leak at all! I knew it'd be going in the cap, so I got the top of the line one. Damn thing cost $85 but it's worth it.

For the drawers, I 100% agree, but this is just using what I had on hand. It also saves weight and is easy to build since I'm not that handy with wood.

How far are you trying to poke out? These are 285s mount on 8" wide wheels with 0 offset.

Thats about right. Thinking 17x9 4.5 0 would work out ok.

Oh definitely. That'd stick out 2.5" over stock. Just be warned though that the farther your wheels stick out, the more you'll rub.
