You know, I never did post those photos with dimensions for you of that switch controller. Short story, It is too big to just fit in that cubby without some sort of mod. A new panel or something. But the damn thing is so thin you could probably use 3M tape and mount anywhere you want.

I had another guy on here look at it and he said it would work for what I want to do. Now that you have a fridge, you may need to get something that can handle more power. The one I have has 8 circuits, 2 of each Amps, 30, 20, 10 & 5.

Funny thing is, I found one sold by DJI 4X4 on Amazon, and it looks identical to mine, except this one is only $125.

Stalker alert!!! Haha. I already bought and installed the sPOD Universal 8 Circuit SE w/ HD panel. I mounted the HD panel up top between my overhead panel and the sunroof. It was a perfect spot and bolting it in was super simple with the sunroof open. I fished the wire through and down the a-pillar and through the firewall.

 

Sweet! You should post a pic or two so I can see how that looks there. I might do the same thing. Sounds like the perfect spot!

Oh da-uuummmm! That's sexier than I imagined. Oh hell yeah! I was going to start putting up my patches finally this weekend but now I'm glad I am lazy AF!

 

Wait, so you didn't have to pull the console down where your lights and switches are? I don't mind if I have to, I have before. How did you attach it? Velcro?

 

Nope. I put shoe polish on the bolts on the back of the switch panel. Aligned it and pressed into the headliner to transfer the shoe polish marks. Then I cut the headliner with an exacto knife and then drilled the holes. Then just press the switch into the holes and thread the nuts onto the back from over the headliner lip at the sunroof. Then use a ratcheting boxend to tighten the nuts. I was even able to feed the signal cable over to the a-pillar above the headliner without dropping the panel or the headliner. Just remove the sunvisor to give you a little more room to work with.

 

I did the same exact thing with my detachable HAM radio head. It was easy Rob.

Yea, I have been wondering about it but this really is a perfect place for that switch. My radios are still hand held Dave, but that is a great place for the head unit.
