What some people will do to save on weight.

 

I thought I saw him post in another thread he was going to finally finish the the tube doors this way. He's using the toilet paper, paper towel and xmas wrapping paper tubes from his neighbor's. He's telling them it's for an online project during the pandemic for local elementary schools.

I opted for that quiet kobalt one. My god this thing is quiet for an air compressor. usually you need ear pro around these things.

 

Sweet! Cobalt also has some smaller air tools that are decent. But so does HF.

 

I have a few Hf air tools! Will definitely be expanding the collection.

 

Yea, those are economic and honestly, for a small cut off wheel, grinder or 1/4" - 3/8" wrench you don't really need that much cfm. It's only when you get into long term extended use. And you have that Dewalt driver so.........

 

Oooookkk no one told me building a bumper is so much fun.

 

I like like like all the angles! Now we need to do something about that rake! Oh, and are you going to close that gap between the bumper and the bed? Or will the tailgate cover it up?

I swear I would do this if I didn't already have a short bed.

 

The rake is absurd! The leafs are meant for 3” lift with 660 lbs in the back. I’m going to remove a leaf to drop it back down. The sloped driveway exacerbates the problem in the pic. I will be closing that gap up, it’d look pretty bad otherwise.

 

Nice, but I mean can't we just raise the front?

It would look like a 6" lift!

I definitely dig the whole project! Very cool indeed! I can't wait to see it in person.

Truck turned out fucking amazing Randy. You have done some seriously stupid things to this poor truck, this being one of them, but it turned out looking really good.

BTW I like the covid-19 nudge in the 2nd picture. “Made in the USA” on the steel with the hand sanitizer & great value wipes in the shelf. You sir are sneaky!
