Hey OP (or anyone actually), can I reuse the gasket that is between the pipe forward of the muffler at that flange there?

As long as there isn't any damage or cracks, which there shouldn't be with how new your truck is, your should be fine. It's not a crush gasket or anything.

Thanks Rahl, that's what I needed to know. That is was not a crush type. I agree, it should still be in tact. I'll add some anti-seize to the flange as well, and the bolts.

I painted that exhaust with high heat black this afternoon and think I am going to go out and see if I can get it on before it starts raining.

I wouldn't put anti-seize on the flange where it touches the gasket.

I added a diamond plate sheet metal skin to the top to close the gap. Now that the gap is closed it really accentuates how far the bumper protrudes. It’s not horrible, but more than I’d like. Nothing to be done about now. I’ll paint it tomorrow if weather permits.

If you do it all in white the size won’t jump out at you. All in all it looks good.

That’s not a bad idea. Once I get it painted and mounted I’ll see how it is.

Smart thinking. I’m glad you’re back around.

Man! I've been missing out on some good conversations. What day is it? Can we go outside yet?

Oh and I've gotta add to the gallery.

No, that’s where the tailgate drops. I’d have to totally redo the corners to accommodate a swingout
