Si. He was probably a more better cop than me though.

Started putting her back together. Just some minor things to button and she’s ready to go. I’ll take care of those things tomorrow.

Made myself some maxtrax mounts today. These will bolt onto the prinsu, and the maxtrax mounting pins will bolt to these.

Smart move trying to run with his neon green construction shirt. Shots through the windshield was pretty cool

Tunnel vision is a real thing. Watch the last officer shoot through his windshield directly in front of another cop. The truck starts backing up and he keeps firing. Bullets ricochet when they go through a windshield. He could be the best marksman in the world and still shoot his buddy. Hopefully he was debriefed on how stupid that was.

Why are you dismissing the “cool” points earned for shooting through the windshield?

Cuz that's how cops shoot each other. I had a lieutenant almost shoot me once because he got too excited. It would be a little different if bullets were coming in through the windshield. I could understand it then, but this guy was going for the cool points and put his buddy at risk. That's not what good cops do.

Learn something new everyday. Fortunately, only two incidents weren't anything like Ike this. Too much adrenaline going on there.

I'd be willing to bet after they interviewed the last cop he would have said there was no cop car in front of him. Then, after he reviewed his video he'd be shocked to see how close it was to his line of fire. When you're in a stressful situation like that your field of view shrinks down to exactly where the threat is. Training 1st then experience 2nd are the only two things that can overcome this natural reaction.

But did the lieutenant shoot you? Using “almost” as justification is like say I almost hit the jackpot but was off by 1 number. Cool points earned bad guy down & someone at the beginning of the video scored a free tire & weedeater. I sure hope the cop worked the rest of his shift with the busted up windshield as proof of his badassery.

This is true. It happened to me during tax season 2015. I forgot I had a dependent that was born months earlier. It wasn’t until my CPA pointed it out that I realized I was in the wrong. The stressful situation of tax prep has caused me to forget a tax credit I had never used before.
