It was amazing, I never once hit the back end. Meanwhile joe was banging and dragging all over the place.
You’re missing out on such a good time

Im not so sure about that. We should go wheeling but on my turf so i can figure out if its a driver thing or an inevitable thing.

Those hoops around the taillights ain't so stupid looking now are they dawg?

Looks like you caught a rock hard Brother. That's deep. Should be a easy fix though if you had any Durabak left over.

How do you think that drain plug came loose?

Really sounds like you had a great time!

Both. A lack of fucks from me and an environment where it’s not hard to get damage.

thanks, still have a gallon leftover. Will touch it up whenever I finish the half doors since those will get coated too! Plug worked it’s way loose from me playing in the rocks all day and the diff getting drug around.

I’m not joking. There’s no way to prevent what happened today. Diff armor doesn’t protect it because there is a hole there to be able to do a fluid drain. Best I could do is just be very mindful and keep a close eye on it while wheeling but that leaves a lot of room for risk.

weld the plug in, and grind the outside if the axle smooth. Once every two years, pull the third member and change the fluid and inspect the third for any weird wearing or broken teeth. Pulling the third isn’t very hard.

Wouldn't the hole in the armor still protect the plug because the plug would be in set below the armor?

Maybe, but that’s the reason I don’t run bolt on armor is because it hangs low. Even fractions of an inch at the diff make a big difference. I used to have an RCI one and got hung up on it all the time. The axle is plenty strong and doesn’t need protecting, like lcas. Only weak part is the back of it which I welded a cover on it

Drop bracket lift and booger welds
Has happened to both @ToyRyd04 and I at Rausch. We tacked the bolts shut to make it through the day. Greg welded his shut and pulled the bottom two studs, replaced them with bolts to use as new drain holes. I have yet to address mine.

Also what trail from the first pic? Not one I instantly recognize.

I saw that in your thread which is where I got the idea. I was thinking of doing the stud idea but I then worry about those leaking.

we went to aoaa instead since he had some free day passes we forgot about. And that’s M Ext. We ran it with gravity on our side going from left to right on the map. It was a fun one.

Picked up some steel while i was at Joes to finally build a proper welding table. And while I was up in pa I picked up my project doors to build some half doors.

Cleanup is done. Took a peek at the diff to see why it was a little wet with oil but it must’ve been residual. I’ll keep an eye on it. Snapped this pic while I was down there.
