Been drinking heavily. Had a very bad day.

Long story short, rotated my tires earlier, decided to incorporate the 5th into the mix. In 105 degree heat I failed to notice the spare had a regular valve stem. So at 3pm I arrived at the dealership for my free 10k mile service. No wash, no rotation, no air filter (running a K&N now), just an oil change and oh yea while your at it, program them TPMS, I brought vaseline so go ahead and charge me the $150 for you to do it. *note, I tried twice with professional OBDII tools, and failed. Was told the dealer would be able to.

1.5 hours of sitting there with a mask on dying the rep comes out and says the tire on the right rear doesn't have a tpms sensor. Then the black valve stem hit me. So I say fuck it, do the 4 that do.

15 minutes later she comes back and says they can't program them. But she was holding back and kinda beating around the Bush. I could tell what she was afraid to say.

So I said matter of factly "well that's ok, as long as I'm not paying for them not being able to do it". She said, well they have to charge for the time even though they failed.

I promised her that wouldn't happen. The service manager I spoke to next agreed.

    Fuckin' dealerships......homey don't play that.

So now I'm drinking. A lot. Getting ready to eat so that will help.

If you don't mind driving I can program them in. Just save the codes.

Wait. All you did was rotate the tires? I'm pretty sure you only have to push the button under the dash for that.

Well, that's 400 lbs in an hour. I even had two fans out there. You know I don't do well above 50 degrees. I'm old as fuck. Outta shape.

I think mostly though the letdown, and dealing with the whole thing.

And I'm never not safe Brother. And heavily for me is really means heavily for all you mortals.

    But thanks <3

Thanks Dave  that's generous. These are OEM sensors bought off Ebay for a 2nd Gen. The guy that sold me the set is 100% trustworthy so there's no reason to doubt him. Some of you all probably know him on here.

Anyway, they said at the dealership that the 2nd gen sensors have 7 digit codes and the 3rd Gens have 8. Sounds like bullshit to me.

I did some research when I bought the set and some guys were saying it work if you tell the tool (Autel) it's a 2014 Camry. Well that didn't work for me. Either time.

So I think my only option is to buy some 3rd gen sensors. I'm just not looking forward to breaking the beads on 5 S/T Maxx tires to get this done.

We now need a tube rear bumper. We cant run tube front & plate rear. That is just ludicrous

The thought has crossed my mind but I put so much work into the rear bumper that I’m not changing it. I’m real happy with it.

Sell it to @FadedComa . You know that cat will buy anything that has graced RandyFab. Bumper, lights etc. The list could go on.

Sell the rear bumper to B & build a matching tube rear bumper.

    2 thoughts.

    1) you can reuse the hitch carrier as an umbrella holder for the next beach party

    2) you need a rear tube bumper.

For my taste, the front bumper just needs a little more plate work. I just dont like the look when you can see the radiator support, fender/headlight brackets, etc. All the stuff that wasn't meant to show. Just some minor cosmetic plating that wont add much weight or mess with your approach angle. Maybe the upcoming lights will fill those voids...just a thought...don't let me get in your head anymore
